In Feb 2013 I sent an inquiry to New Yorker Films and was told that "the release will be in October 2013." Personally, I'll believe it when (and if) I see it for myself...
Update (Dec/2013): In late October I sent another enquiry and received the following reply on November 11: "I am told that management is awaiting a new digital transfer, thus the delay. The home video release will be announced when available. Thank you for your continued interest in this title."
Note the absence of any specific new date for the release. I suspect that rights are at the heart of it rather than access to "a new digital transfer" -- the BFI release had a perfectly acceptable transfer.
