Boondocks inspired by Coonskin?

I am pretty sure some people have head of this tv show. I am the only one who thinks Coonskin could be inspired by this tv show?

Quite possibly, although of court "Coonskin" was inspired by "Br'er Rabbit," and "Boondocks" seems inspired by "The PJs," blaxploitation and other pop-culture influences as well.

It may have to an extent but The Boondocks is very much its own thing, though both deal with racism among many other important social issues, also I have to say that I love the allusions to anime.

The Boondocks was originally a comic strip with its own style. Not sure how much Coonskin actually influenced the animated version.
