Uncut version?
Anyone knows anything about the 115 mins uncut version and where can it be found/seen? Here on the IMDb page says there are two versions, one that is 103 min. long (the one I have at home) and the uncut version.

Originally, the fifth story is "The Beast", which was omitted prior to the film's original release. The director used that excised segment the following year, and then built a wraparound story around it, to make it a stand alone feature. Overall this feature's wraparound story is quite dull, with the central, centerpiece segment (the part originally from the film, "Immoral Tales") the only interesting part.
Anyway, the version of the DVD and blu ray that was just released (Aug. 2014) by Arrow Films in the UK contains BOTH cuts of the film, the theatrical, four story version, AND the five story version with the "The Beast" segment.
This set, however, is Region B locked, unfortunately for people in the States (who don't have a Region Free player).
Since Arrow just announced the opening of a USA branch early next year, and then follows that with the launch of several Arrow titles in the US, perhaps this release will eventually see USA release.
Oh, thanks. filmscholar35, I saw the feature of the beast and I knew it came from immoral tales, but I didn't know it existed in its original form, as the fifth short from immoral tales. I would love to see that someday.
shareInteresting. If you already own the 103 minute version (and you like that), you're probably better off buying "The Beast" separately because it's pretty good as a stand-alone feature. It would be interesting to see the original cut though
I'm also sorry to hear they're still doing that region bullsh!t. Why punish the kind of people that would send away to another country for an expensive DVD as opposed to simply downloading it for free? I haven't bought a Blu-ray player simply because they're not region-free (and the region free ones were very expensive last I checked)and they don't record. But illegal downloads are pretty much blu-ray quality and often better than legitimate DVDs. It's not really reasonable to expect your customers to be steadfastly moral while you're making things difficult for them by being as money-grubbing as possible.
