Does anyone know...


If there is any truth in the statement that the "Confessions" films made more money than the Bond films during the 70s. Given that three of the Bonds made during the 70s rank among the Top 100 British ticketsellers of all time, I find it hard to believe.

No, I can't see how that statement is true.

'Confessions of a Window Cleaner' was the highest grossing British film at the UK Box office in the 1974, and remained in some cinemas for over a year!! The remaining three all made a profit, though with decreasing success. The films also did well internationally, particularly across the Far East, Asia and Africa (though not America). I think the amount of money they earned would suprise people, but I don't think their combined box office can usurp that of Bond, , even though they were very popular films in their day.
