Yes I agree totally. Weir is what I call a cinematic director. His movies always shine. Some directors are plot driven. But watch Picnic at Hanging Rock or Fearless and you see that Weir is not beholding to the plot or script.

Much as I'm a fan of Peter Weir and many of his films, I don't reckon there's much in the way of similarities at all ... thank goodness. IMO this is a pretty ordinary offering, though everyone has to start somewhere.🐭
