Who was the guy in the tavern who paid the three ruffians to kill Kronos and Grost and why did he want them dead? Kronos sees it as a sign that he's close to the vampires he's seeking but we never encounter that particular guy again.

You see him a few times (you'll miss him if you blink XD) he's the servent of the Durward family, Kronos is seen dragging his body away before they break into the Durward castle.

Yeah, it's a real blink and you miss it shot that establishes him as the driver.

He looks a lot like Robert Z'Dar to me.
