Just seen the new production.

I was fortunate to have seen Bates in the original production. Being a huge fan of The Wire I went to see Dominic West play Butley. Unfortunately, Bates's performance was so strong, I couldn't get him out of my mind. Sorry Dominic, but the role will forever belong to A. B.
