This is an extremely influential film. Wonderful, spare dialogue. Brilliant performance by Warren Oates. My favorite quote uttered by Oates after he repeatedly keeps shooting a man he has already killed: "Why? Because it feels so goddam good."

This movie had so many memorable lines. One of my favorites was when the biker is about to rape our hero's girlfriend. The classic line is: "You guys are definitely on my sh*t list."

Driving into El Jefe's compound near the end of the film, Bennie turns to the bundle in the passenger seat and says: "Take it easy, Al."

The great thing about that line is that Bennie is conceding that, yeah, he's pretty much a loser. He's not your typical action hero.

Exactly! He's kinda rude, and crass, and mean, and yet, still lovable, like so many of Peckinpah's character's.

I love when one of the bounty hunters calls Bernie a looser and he says;

'No body looses all the time'

And he's right, but he just can't see where he is winning in his own life until he looses it all.

Funny, tragic and bitter sweet at the same time.

In a film full of great quotes, the best has to be ´don´t look at me with those goddamn *beep* eyes´.
