A proper remake would be nice

I've recently watched this movie for the first time, and I liked it.
In my opinion, it's unbalanced, because we have a really great concept but a very messy final product. While it fits well in the seventies B-movie exploitation genre, the story is just too good for it's own sake. The performances are very artificial, but they fit in the world of the film.

I believe someone with great narrative skills, a good actor's director with respect for cinema could re-make "Bring Me The Head Of Alfredo Garcia" without insulting the original, and giving us a solid cinematic experience.

Someone like Paul Thomas Anderson or the Coen Brothers.
