Winchester

The best part of this film was seeing Winchester in the 70s. I wish it still looked like that..

I saw this film ages ago and I hope it will come out in DVD format! I have the 1945 version--Noel Coward's production and directed by David Lean...But I also love the 70's version with Sophia Loren and Richard Burton!

someone who likes both versions, i haven't seen the original version myself, but i've been aware of that this doesn't seem to get very well recieved. i'm not too crazy about it myself. don't like the story, i'm not dissing the movie, it's just not in my taste.

you say everybody needs a calm room,
but i'm living in a henhouse here with you,
all over the place, up on my desk,
you got all your chickens laying eggs,
i like it when you take off your boots,
and everything else that you do,
but look around, and see the truth,
this place is turning into a henouse with you,
the furnitors you got on sale,
and like you decorate the place,
that modern stuff often seem to break in two,
you're sopose to put the furnitor togheter yourself after you buy it too?
how am i supose to get anything done,
when you turn such a state of my home,
all over, from sealing to the ground,
there are chickens all around,
you say everybody needs a calm room,
call me a silly geeze, couse to tell you the truth,
i like it, being in this henhouse with you.

I agree. However, I think the original is better than Casablanca. (IMHO)It's one of the best films of all time.

Best things about this remake: the filming locations and the 1970s Southern Region BR traction on view like slam door EMUs and the Crompton Class 33 at the start!!
