now thats what i call a movie

i seen this last night, had not seen it in years but I was so impressed the acting was hilarious..lol
The only thing was draculas drivers, the assistant or what ever his name was..he was sooo odd, i couldnt tell if he was over acting on purpose or what? His performance was strange, I did not get his charactor..He was not a vampire, just some guy who happened to work for dracula.
Also even though I loved it, I wanted dracula so badly to get the blood he wanted so desperately, poor guy didnt get anything, he got some blood soaked break, terrible non virgin blood twice and then he gets to lick the floor towards the end right before he dies..come on..throw him somthing!!

I just finished watching it myself - I laughed out loud in quite a few places. The strangest, most odd but highly entertaining movie I've ever seen.

Loved it!

P.s I think you should ignore that comment re your grammar - some people aren't very polite.

I have to admit I was also rooting for Dracula. All he wanted was a little virgin blood! I would rather had the ending changed so that Esmeralda (the older virgin) offers herself voluntarily to Dracula. This restores his powers and he defeats Anton and flees with Esmeralda back to Transylvainia to re-establish the nobel house of Dracula. LOL

I loved it too, and I wanted Count Dracula to get his virgin's blood lol.

I'm watching it tonight. I love unusual, "different" vampire films and this should be great.

I just watched it after a friend had recommended the film score, which indeed had a very pretty melody. Udo Kier's Dracula is a pitiable vampire with no shown physical advantages, maybe because he was very weak due to lack of blood. I also was hoping things were going to go his way with the eldest sister, which would have been a much better ending. Instead his de-limbing was just hilarious because one is reminded of Monty Python's Black Knight exclaiming: "it's just a flesh wound!".

He got Esmeralda's blood. Remember she is a vampire at the end of the film.

The music, scenery, and locations were really good. The acting was the weirdest I've ever seen. At first I thought it was intentional, but then I started thinking that it was just really, really bad, but the director found a way to work with it and make it interesting and distinctive. And for me, Esmeralda's intense and hideous shriek at the end was the most remarkable bit of the whole movie!

This has always been one of my favorite films... just caught Udo Kier in a Madonna video so I had to look it up. I remember watching it very late at night on USA back in the 80's, it seems like they played it every weekend.

It was a strange movie, but it wasn't bad at all. There are much worse movies to spend an hour and 43 minutes watching.

I've been waiting for you, Ben.

The opening music is just amazing!
