Campfire scene was the unfunniest scene.

I suppose I probably would have laughed if I was 5. But it was too lowbrow. That kind of humor needs to be banned in movies.

reply

You need to be banned from movies.

reply

There are countries that'll take care of that for you: Iran, Uzbehistan, Myanmar, probably others. You could move.

reply

Gee, it seems OP offended the 5 years old- Not even Adam Sandler goes this low.

If I don't reply, you're probably on my ignore list for something I forgot already

reply

Well, you ARE an idiot.

reply

One of the most groundbreaking AND successful scenes in American filmmaking. So you're both wrong, and ignorant for wanting to ban things you don't like.

Please leave this mortal coil as soon as possible and make room for smarter people.

"One of the most groundbreaking AND successful scenes in American filmmaking"
oh yeah , it was right up there with the opening of 2001 and robert shaw's monologue in Jaws.

Says a troll named Sir_Farty_Farts_A_Lot! Did you get that from South Park?

reply

Ironic, considering your username.

reply

I can understand why because many countless modern comedies have made the fart joke to be clichéd to the point it's become unfunny and boring. Even still, the scene is iconic and it's what started (or popularized) the use of fart jokes you see in today's movies.

reply

What a hypocrite! And you call yourself Sir_Farty_Farts_A_Lot??

reply

LOL! I love the name. I'll bet it was chosen just for this thread......
Obviously not to be taken seriously.
I do love that scene! I have seen so many westerns in my life. TV and movie westerns. You see so many of those scenes where the men are all sitting around the campfire at night and they are eating their beans. How many of us have watched that sort of scene and wondered when just one of those guys was going to let loose and cut the cheese?
Along comes Mel Brooks. He made it happen! Bless his soul!
