Synopsis for Blumhouses upcoming ramake

"Hawthorne College is quieting down for the holidays. One by one, sorority girls on campus are being killed by an unknown stalker. But the killer is about to discover that this generation’s young women aren’t willing to become hapless victims as they mount a fight to the finish."

I like Blumhouse but that last line makes me a little uneasy. So tired of all the SJW agenda crap in movies and tv shows.Hopefully it's at least better than the 2006 remake

I don't have to see it to know it will suck. I'm gonna stick with Bob Clark's effective and creepy original. Sorority girls who kick ass just doesn't do anything for me.

For me the worry isn't that it's women who are fighting back. Because I mean, who cares?

The worry is that characters are fighting back at all. That implies they are going to reveal who Billy is. That was what made the first one special. The unknown factor.

The final girl trope in horror movies dates back decades. Women were kicking ass regularly in slasher movies in the 1980s, so this is nothing new.

Saying that, why remake a masterpiece? The 2006 remake was awful. Best just leave it.
