VERY close to home!

I was 15 when this movie was filmed. I knew nothing about it until a few years later when I saw it on TV. But ironically the filming took place RIGHT around the corner from my house! Clarendon Crescent is the street they used. My family and I lived on Clarendon Avenue. The "crescent" portion of Clarendon Ave is a very short dead end street. Check it out on Google maps. I think this house was right at the dead end.

The next bit of trivia was that our next door neighbor was director Harvey Hart (and his family). He had a son about my age. Mr Hart was hardly ever home, since he was directing a lot of TV episodes in California at the time. I recently saw a "Columbo" episode that he had directed.

I tried looking it up on google maps but it doesn't go to the crescent portion. So you can't actually see the house from google maps I don't think. It seems closed off or something. Its a very wealthy area.

I am U of T alumni and I walked by many of the University locations seen in the film everyday not totally oblivious that it was the site of one of the greatest horror films of all time (this was nearly a decade ago, before I ever saw the movie).

Yes, the "Crescent" is now a "private road". I was there over Christmas this year and took a picture of the house. I'll see if I can attach it or provide a link.
