Groovy Soundtrack

Wow, I just got myself a copy of Beyond the Door on vhs...watching it for the first time.....

This has got to be the grooviest music I've heard in a horror film...odd moog synthesizer tangents to full blown wacka-wacka disco with gothic choir voices :) Totally priceless.

Anybody ever hear of a soundtrack album ever being released in the US?

I-Tunes music store has it available for downlaod, but it's missing the chuckling "Who Are You?" tracks.

SERIOUSLY groovy, I so agree! Since you like the music here, listen to the awesome title theme for Blacula (1972). Another totally stellar tune, man.....

the soundtrack was reissued once in Japan and a few songs were comped twice in Italy by Easy Tempo. No official reissue as far as I know, but there is a US & Canadian press in the 70s, along with Italian and French. probably have an easier time acquiring the original LPs than the CD reissue.

If you like "groovy" soundtracks for retro horror films, give Alexander Blonksteiner's music for Cannibal Apocalypse a try.
