I saw the 1977 film I was too young for the original....I think. I to this day wish I owned a dog like that. The doll is a replica I guess that will do it even has a Benji collar on its neck prob on ebay.

shareI think we might have the same stuffed animal. My Benji dog was originally my grandmothers and it became mine after she passed away in 2007. I honestly had no idea it was a movie until just today, when I was watching an episode of How I Met Your Mother and one of the characters says Benji was the first movie she ever saw.

the last dog my parents had when they were alive was a dog that looked almost like Benji,, and that's what dad named him,, mom went out and got a stuffed benji dog,, when Benji died Mom slept with that stuffed little dog,, I still have the stuffed dog,, but it sits on my Mom's rocker,, R I P, mom dad and Benji
