Casting call remake game?

For the main character, I would cast Laurence Fishburne or Cuba Gooding, Jr.

Im thinking Samuel L Jackson, he matches the style and attitude ofte original Newcliffe.

Stellan Skarsgaard for Pavel

Angela Bassett as Caroline

Ian McKellen for Dr. Lundgren

I thought when there was only room for one black man you HAD to cast Will Smith. I think that is the law, not sure though. When the dog, I mean werewolf, jumps out at him Will can say "Aww, hell no! I know you didn't."

Will Smith as tom Newcliffe
Michael Gambon as Christopher Lundgren
Owen Wilson as Paul Foote
Ian McKellen as Arthur Beddington
Jada Pinkett-Smith as Caroline Newcliffe
Mads Mikkelsen as Pavel
Naomi Watts as Davina Gilmore
Phillip Seymour Hofman as Jan jamokowski

Chiwetel Ejiofor would make a fine Tom Newcliffe.

While some of the names mentioned are nice, there's no way Will Smith would be gotten for a remake of a low-budget film like this, and if he WAS for it, then there would likely be no budget left for a film. So I'm going to use an alternative route and cast based on who I think would be up for a remake of a low-budget werewolf film.

Tom Newcliffe: Got to go with Samuel L. Jackson for this one. He's not british, but he fits the rest of the part perfectly, and if he was willing to do "Snakes on a Plane", he might be willing to do this.

Dr. Christopher Lundgren: Surprised no one dropped this name. Christopher Lee. Who better to play a role of Cushing than his Hammer on-screen nemesis, Christopher Lee? Another choice would be Timothy Dalton. He'd be a bit forceful in the role, much more than Cushing was, but after hosting "In the Company of Wolves" for PBS, and appearing in the Tales from the Crypt "Werewolf Concerto" episode, he'd be a fun casting choice for this, and likely willing to play the part.

Arthur Bennington: Michael Gambon. If nothing else, for the nostalgia factor. If he declined, the Timothy Dalton would be my other choice. He'd be ideal for the above reasons mentioned, and think of the trivia of a former James Bond playing the role once played by a former James Bond villain.

Pavel: Hippolyte Giradot. While I like Mads for this part, he's too successful, I think, to play a supporting role like this. Giradot bears a passing resemblance to Mads Mikkelsen, and isn't too well-known. Second choice would be Lance Henriksen. He's another solid actor, and has done a lot of B-movie horror films. The role could be Americanized.

Jan Jarmakowski: Richard Roxburgh. A solid english character actor, but still on the peripheral of superstardom. Plus, he's good looking enough to be believeable as the love of Davina.

Paul Foote: Robert Carlyle. He can pull off a believeable, modern-day long-haired look, and again, a solid actor but not a superstar. Likely up for a remake of a B movie.

Davina Gilmore: Rose Byrne. She is a strong, solid actress. Might be hard to get for it, but worthy of pursuing, if nothing else.

Caroline Newcliffe: Thandie Newton. She'd fit the part perfectly, and would be an interesting foil for Samuel L. Jackson. And potentially willing to appear in the remake.

I love to love my Lisa.
