What's wrong with me?

I was shocked to see this film had a 2.0 rating on here. I actually really liked this film.

Not the greatest movie, but not the worst. What I did like is that even though he was a blood thirsty batman he did relish in his new identity. Most of these man into monsters love being the monster. This guy really hated it and tried his best not to kill people. I think the sheriff was the real badie in the movie not the bat man. I say give him a freezer filled with blood and leave the poor creature alone.

Strange. On one hand, you say that he relishes in his new identity, then on the other you say he hates his new identity. Which is it?

Would you be willing to keep the freezer stocked?

Wrong word. Sorry. I meant to say he hated his new ID. My bad.

I didn't think it was so bad myself. It was watchable enough.

What do you think this is, a signature? It's a way of life!

My friends and I watch B-Movies for fun. We expected this to be bad actually we had a good time and we were surprised with all the dark themes like suicide, rape, homeless/alcoholism, premature ejaculation (lol) ect.

Definitely not as bad as the rating here. It's like a 4 or a 5 not a 2. It's definitely a super cheesy horror movie with some seriously laughable parts but remains thoroughly watchable throughout the whole movie. It even has some genuinely entertaining scenes like the car chase.

There's nothing wrong with you, you have taste, that's all. "The Bat People" is a really fun movie, the reason for the low rating here is because it was featured on MST3K. The viewers of MST3K aren't even actually watching the movie, they're watching a TV show where three snarky people are watching the movie, not paying attention to it and talking the whole time. The entire concept of the show sets up each film that appears as "one of the worst movies ever made". Even though the viewer hasn't attempted to engage the film on its own terms, they still feel as if they now have an opinion about it, so they come here and wage war on it by voting it down.

I love this movie and think it's fantastic. The budget is low, and even though the actors are good enough, sometimes their readings are awkward, as if the director was only able to do a few takes of each scene and had to make the best of things. I think the worst thing "The Bat People" has going for it is that its title leads you to believe it's something that it's not. It is a horror movie, but it's really a love story at heart. It's about two people who are in love, suddenly one of them changes, and the other thinks she has to go on without him. In the end, she realizes she can change too, and she rejoins him. A very strange happy ending. This is the way a lot of werewolf type films go, but this one dares to be different and mixes it with the vampire legend, and provides a happy ending for its two formerly doomed lovers. I like that about it!

There are plenty of movies I've seen that were rated really low. It is what it is.

You are sin.
