looked for this movie a long time

I searched for the name of this movie a long time. I knew the main idea of the movie but could not remember any details, and when I tried to ask anyone they all thought i just made the movie up. I saw this movie sometime when i was a kid and have always been kinda creeped out about the idea someone could be in the wall. I don't know how i ever saw this movie though. If it was a made for tv movie in the 70's ? I wasn't even born until 81 so it had to be several years after that when I saw it

I too, like many other of these flicks I have been looking for for a long time. I remember seeing only bits and pieces of this PARTICULAR movie in the mid 70's when I was a child. I always wanted to see it from beginning to end. They never showed it again and I sort of forgot about it for a while. Everytime I bring it up this movie and/or try to describe it with friends and/or acquaintences I get blank looks and " I don't know what you are talking about." I am on this IMDB site a lot and after not seeing or thinking anything about this movie for a long time I stumbled onto this page. What memories it brings back reminicsing about this and many other movies I used to watch on the CBS late night movie that used to come on after the 10:00 news. I think it is really a crying shame that a lot of these movies aren't released for DVD or even VHS

This is one of those movies that I watched as a kid and it just stuck with me.
I remember it being really creepy and I searched forever for it. Finally found it on ebay. It's not a good copy (probbaly bootleg), but still watchable. Movie isn't as good as I remember it and the acting is bad but it is an interesting concept and still an entertaining flick.

This is just another title I have been waiting for to add to my collection.
I'd settle for a VHS copy although I'd rather have it on disc.

Here's a DVD copy... though, it's not an official release.

It is available on VHS at amazon starting at 64.99.

You can find it on Ebay and it took me 3 tries to finally get an original VHS version and I was lucky that it had the original artwork cover on the sleeve.

This movie is tough to come by and a VHS with the original artwork is sought after by collectors, thats why it is so expensive. I also bought a DVD copy of it from the internet but the quality wasn't very good.

I taped this movie many years ago onto VHS. It was on at 3:00 a.m. or something like that. I remember seeing this movie as a kid, and was really creeped out by it. I just got a new DVD recorder so I can copy it onto a DVD. I'm loving copying all this old stuff onto DVD.

I was born in 1966, I was 8 years old when I saw this movie. It is now 2007 and I finally jsut saw this move as I type this message after 33 years. I alwasy did remember it as the first move that had "PEOPLE INSIDE THE WALLS". Of course with hollywood they used that premise againa nd again with movies in the 80's like "PEOPLE UNDER THE STAIRS" etc. Was amizing to see it at age 8 in 1974 and then at age 40 in 2007. I did notice dabney colman as the father who afte that did 9 to 5 and his rise to star. Kim hunter went on to do muc more as well in the 80's but the rest of the cast faded into oblivion .

From what I see on these boards, a lot of people remember this movie, more than I'd have expected, and it seems nearly everyone has a different reason why they never forgot it. For some, it's the overall atmosphere of creepiness, for others, something else. Myself, although I never saw her in anything else, I never forgot Cindy Fisher. Yes, I know she was only about 14 at the time, but damn, was she hot. <G>

That isn't the only reason I remembered her, though. In my honest, and admittedly inexpert opinion, she turned in the best performance in the show. I realize that's faint praise, since the overall level of acting is pretty typical of TV movies of the time, but hey, give the girl credit for trying.

Lisa Eilbacher did go on to have some success, though nothing really noteworthy, in TV movies and the occasional feature film, but except for Hunter, who was a star long before 'Bad Ronald', and Coleman, who went on to base an entire career on playing conceited @$$holes (not a big stretch for him, if you can believe the rumors), it does seem that none of the others went on to do much. When the "Golden Age" of the TV movie ended at the close of the 1970s, so did their careers.

After being out of print for years following its initial VHS release in the 1980s, the film was reissued on DVD in August 2009, as part of the manufacture-on-demand Warner Archive Collection.

Same here. I saw it on TV as a kid in the 70s and it was one of the few TV movies I remembered. No matter what I typed in google, it came up empty (just sites to ask people about movies). I assumed it was a little known TV movie. I finally simplified my search on google and found it tonight. I didn't realize I wasn't the only one looking for it or what a cult favorite it's been considered over the past four decades.

I saw this on Tv when it first came on. Then sometime in the 1980s It came on tv or maybe i rented it. Have not seen it since. I still remember thinking about that movie every now and then. Just the thought of moving into a house and someone living in a room you are not aware of. I remember feeling sorry for him at first since he was a victim of the snotty kids. then he just got creepy.
