Is this the movie where the African gentleman tricks the baboon into showing him where his secret underground baboon water supply is?
The movie I'm thinking about also features animals getting drunk on fermented fruit and a really sad seen where birds have to abandon their chicks when a watering hole dries up, leaving the chicks to wander off into the desert to die of thirst/starvation.
Is this that movie?
I've been dying to know for years. I want to buy it really bad.

You are correct. Great flick. Spawned the movie The Gods Must Be Crazy and the sequel to that. I don't know if it's available so good luck. I've had my copy for over twenty years.

Warner Archive offers it on their burn-on-demand service. I'm pretty sure that's the version that Amazon offers too, but Warner Archive often has deals when you buy multiple discs at a time.
