Haven't seen this movie and don't think I can (as the only way of doing so is buying the expensive DVD with even costlier postage), so could someone tell me why was couscous listed as one of the keyword plot, please?

The main character likes couscous and the German woman he has a relationship with refuses to fix it for him. He goes outside the home to get what he needs.

jerry4444 You should see this movie. It's truly awesome. I checked it out at my local library. Maybe you could see it that way. It's one of Fassbinder's masterpieces, and why he is legend.

Why didn't she learn to cook it? It was clearly important to Ali, and she cared deeply for him, so it seemed really odd to me that she would flatly deny him something so simple.
