I have seen this movie before. But saw it again on Netflix tonight. All the other versions I saw she died at the end of the movie. They all come back from the election rally and find her dead. A big let down and I cried like I did in The Wrath of Kahn when I thought Spock was dead. And the Champ. But in this ending she is alive and well and gives us a few words of wisdom at the end. A more fitting ending IMO. Has anybody seen this?
shareWow, that's intersting. I just happened to watch the movie for the first time on Netflix. Having never seen the movie before and having never read your post, I was expecting some kind of tragic ending for some reason. As they got to the final scene, I WAS expecting her to die. It seemed they were definitely building toward that but I was glad to see that at least in this version, she didn't. It IS a comedy after all... :)
I just saw the movie and I can see where she could have died in the movie. But it is comedy as you said. I really didn't think I would like this movie being that it was made when I was born but wow. It was a good funny movie.
shareThank you OP. That makes alot more sense of why she would not be at the rally then the version I saw on BounceTV. However, I like the version I saw better. The one you describe would be sooo sad to see and this one was lighthearted, all the way through.
