Wonderful movie

I've read every single one of James Herriott's books. Once I started I couldn't put them down. This movie was on today on our free to air channel, GEM, and it was really a charming adaptation of James' first novel. I loved how the countryside was depicted plus the characters that made it authentic. Where else but in an English village would you see people gathering around a gramophone player to listen to classical music in a church hall. I loved the TV series too. Such great stories coming to life.
