Need help with the ending (spoiler)

1. If you're trying to i.d. the performer, the actor's name is Tony Brubaker - he's primarily a stuntman, though he's had some minor acting roles. If you're asking his job title, I suppose he's just a trusted henchman of Big Eddie whose primarly job was to trail Harry, and was not yet aware that Eddie was killed.

2. It's not made clear, but likely the hit man aborted his hit because since Harry was there to greet him when he attempted to board ship, he knew that he lost the element of surprise, and since much is made about Harry's reputation as a gunman (remember, at one point Big Eddie tries to hire him away from Uncle Frank), the hit man figured Harry had him dead to rights. Also, the fact that Harry does not have his gun drawn on him perhaps signals that the gang war has ended and the hit is void, so he's letting him walk away and he takes the opportunity.

3. The two bodies dumped in the water are Big Eddie and Clara, the mistress/"adpoted daughter" of Uncle Frank whom Eddie, in his dying words at the laundry plant, claims was his informant. Obviously Uncle Frank killed them both back at the plant.
