Sexiest Actress on Television

Angie Dickinson's Pepper Anderson had to be the sexiest actress on television. You're welcomed to disagree, but please tell me who tops her.

I agree with you. I think it was in "Police Woman" that Angie appeared either in a two piece swim suit or a bikini. Either one, she is a knockout - like I wish I could look in one of them. At age 50 she overshadowed many of today's younger "diet" pricesses who seem to take up half the TV commercials hyping their new looks. Yesterday's movie/TV female law enforcers were classier looking, behaving and just all around more interesting I feel. -Paula

And don't forget that Angie was almost 43 when Police Woman made its debut in 1974. She made youth-obsessed America realize how sexy and desirable a woman in her forties could be. In fact, I think she looked her best during that decade. Jesus jitterbugging Christ, what a smoking body she had!

I'd only ever heard of the show through my mom, who proclaimed Angie Dickinson the sexiest woman on TV. I finally ordered season 1 through Netflix and have to agree. Although I think Lynda Carter is a tie. I grew up watching WW on reruns. Lucille Ball is also very sexy LoL

I'd say Tina Louise is on a par with Angie, but not as warm

Angie became TV's first bonafide over-40 female sex symbol.

Her sex appeal came not only from her looks and well-preserved physicality, but her vivacious demeanor. The '70s-era feminists complained that the character was too sexualized, and the network apparently clamped down on that, so Angie's persona was reined-in shortly into the second season.

Even the way she'd spoken in Season 1 -- that sexy/tough purr -- was mostly removed afterwards. So they were no longer letting Angie be Angie. And it had the effect of causing the series to oddly lose focus.

As a result, the show's first season mojo (when it hit #1 that summer) was largely absconded with.

Angie is in the Top 10, hana

But also please add (from the same era)... Jacqui Smith, Farah Faucett, Vicky Principal, Jamie Somers (Bionic Womans), Loni Anderson, Bonnie from CHiPs, Heather Locklear

But Angie had a personality which was uniquely sexy. Not all the others did, although they looked good. (Locklear was the '80s).
