Where did You find Movin' On on DVD? I have a second generation copy of the two part xmas show. It's watchable, but I'd rather have a studio recording.
Please advise when you can. Thanks.

I just looked at the truckflicks site, and vol. 9-15 are coming soon. Super! I was in the 5th grade living in Crawfordsville, Indiana from '74-'76, a classmate buddy of mine got me to watch Movin' On, which needless to say, helped inspire me to become an Independent contracter today. I was devastated when it went off the air. But after a while, the show that replaced it...Baa Baa Blacksheep (or Blacksheep Squadron) bcame a dear favorite of mine, too. These shows were really special in the sense that they portrayed the heros, and hard-working folks that made this country great, and it's a darn shame that you don't see these type of shows being produced today. Thanks to you fellow enthusiasts and truckers for contributing to this nice forum!

I have some bad news for you: that was a International Harvester rig that he test drove.

Next time you see the episode, you can see all of the Scouts and Travelalls in the background.

That said - did DR and IH merge???

reply

And I have some bad news for you. The truck he test drove was indeed a Diamond Reo Raider.Diamond Reo and IH did not merge, but Diamond Reo went bankrupt in 1974.

Hey - everybody has an idiot day: and I had mine.
