Enough Income for Two Truckers?

I don't know much about the trucking industry, but is it common for two guys to share a truck and do jobs together? Seems to me it might be a money problem with splitting the paychecks.

Sonny also had other financial obligations between paying off his truck and alimony for his ex-wife. So he's really divvying up the pie.7
