Dissapointing endings

Good Day all!

Recently saw them all on youtube over a span of a month and I really enjoy them.
The only knock I have on them is that the endings are too quick and simplistic.
What I mean is....Kolchak is facing creatures that have terrorized Chicago with ease and yet HE defeats the creatures quickly with ease. he defeats them almost in a laughable ridiculously easy manner. I mean, these are monsters that have intelligence and have baffled the authorities for a while, and yet he comes along and within seconds kills them with little effort.

Not saying I don't like the show, just thought the endings were far too generic and predictable.

Perhaps Kolchak defeats these foes because he is often the only one who sees them (and survives), much less tries to stop them. Not that it seems to do him much good-I can see him dragging himself into the office after another victory and telling Vincenzo he's got another great story only to hear "sure Carl, sure" yet again lol.

What a great observation

Yes, great observation. In the episode "Vampire", he tells the disbelieving Lt. Matteo that he is looking for a vampire and the only way to kill it is to treat it AS A VAMPIRE! Kolchak is the only one who bothers to find out what these creatures are and how to deal with them, i.e., dispatch them on their own level.
