The very first episode was shown on television for the very first time, and the opening theme music played. Every moment after that for the remaining years of the show's run was cringe-worthy.

That's hard because at some point you could count on Ralph saying 'I still got it' and Al saying 'yeah yeah yeah yeah' and Richie saying 'I found my thrillls' and Joanie saying 'Hunk!' and Chachi saying 'wah wah wah' and I'm sure I missed some but I think it was season 4 or 5 where it seemed like every single episode had these catch phrases. And they were always cringe-inducing. Oddly enough, I never really got sick of Fonzie's 'ayyyyyyy!'. Instead of any attempt at writing comedy, they just inserted the catch phrases, which always seemed to get a reaction from the audience.
The jump the shark episode wasn't nearly as bad some later episodes. There was a western episode where they all ended up at a ranch and just filled with the most ridiculous dialogue.
I don't mean to bash the show overall. I think the first 3-4 seasons are well worth watching, my favorite being the season when Fonzie moves above the Cunningham's home. That season had many high quality episodes.

The shark-jumping moment, of course.

I really only remember the first two seasons but one moment that stood out for me is the first episode where Richie and this chick are sitting on the couch and the chick goes "do you want to read" and Richie says yeah and they read for like a minute. Then she goes "do you want to neck?" so they make out for like 30 seconds then they proceed to their next activity. Just a really awkward scene. The first season in general I didn't really like.

There are some cringe worthy plots. I get more annoyed at costume/historical points. They just got soooo lazy with the 50's/60's time period. 2 points that still bother me, even when I was a kid...when Fonzie dressed like Elvis for a talent show....but it was the white jump suit that Elvis had...in the 70s, not the 50s....and then that one blonde guy...can't remember if he was a teacher or maybe a student in one the later seasons that was wearing an obviously 80s George Michael's crop top.....in the 50s/60s.....those are my cringe moments.
