And Christie was kind of an idiot. I watched the pilot movie last night and was astonished at how sexist Christie's world was. It was fun reliving a period when America was so basically mistrustful of the police. When the suspect called Christie a "lady pig" it brought back so many memories of being a child in the 1970's, and I was raised in the Midwest. It's amazing at how authoritarian our culture has become over such a relatively short period of time. I watched this program when it went to series, but I don't remember Christie being such an insubordinate airhead.
