I was a kid in the '70s. I'd go home for lunch, watch The Flintstones at noon and, then, while I was getting ready to go back for the afternoon, The Dinah Show would be starting, and I seem to recall hearing what I'd later recognize as George Benson's song Breezin' as the show's theme...but I can't find any credit confirming this.

Anyone able to confirm or correct my recollection?

No, it predated George Benson's song by a couple of years -- but it certainly sounds very similar, only the 'Dinah' theme had a horn section playing the melody, rather than a guitar.

Apparently Breezin' is not a Benson original, and the original writer didn't like Benson's interpretation. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Breezin'#Original_Version
