Zardoz: The most conservative science fiction film ever

This movie is such a refreshing change from the usual Liberal themed SF, where evil Conservatives are responsible for the decay and destruction of the dystopian society.

Instead Zardoz shows us a stagnant world created and maintained by 'enlightened' Liberals, whose emasculated, dictatorial 'new age' society is dominated by ball-breaking aggressive women who lord it over the effete neutered men.

Until one of the oppressed, effeminate men rebels and creates the means of this society's downfall... A hyper-masculine, gun-shooting, woman-taking barbarian who arrives and in short order, seduces the feminazis and destroys the corrupted Liberal dystopia to free most of them with the gift of death and allow the survivors to regain the natural order of life!

What a magnificent, reactionary adventure! More relevant than ever in our modern age.

Zardoz has spoken!

This bit could today be the motto of the Green Church on overpopulation.

Zardoz: Zardoz speaks to you, his chosen ones. You have been raised up from brutality, to kill the brutals who multiply, and are legion. To this end, Zardoz your god gave you the gift of the gun. The gun is good.
Exterminators: The gun is good.
Zardoz: The penis is evil. The penis shoots seeds, and makes new life, and poisons the earth with a plague of men, as once it was. But the gun shoots death, and purifies the earth of the filth of brutals. Go forth and kill!

Other bits would make a great ad for Toxic Masculinity. Or Toxic Femininity, it works both ways.

It's a very Liberal movie ... it is the Conservatives that want to force dogma on citizens, except the elite, not to mention demonize the common people and genocide them

I think you need to watch the movie again... Not to mention reevaluate your political beliefs. A major reason that this film was widely panned by critics was for its reactionary stand against the Leftist hippie culture of its time. And as far as demonizing the common people, you need look no further than Hillary's 'basket of deplorables' remarks and all the Liberal jokes about the inbred ignorant hillbillies of the red 'flyover' states.

I saw the movie when it came out, and I own it as well. I have watched it countless times. You can have your interpretation and I can have mine.

Lol, yeah right (rolling my eyes).

The movie's about what happens to a society/nation/planet when liberal fascism takes control: The Leftwing intelligentsia lives in secure commune-like enclaves, enjoying superior technology, lazy comforts and nigh-immortality wherein the women are controlling and the men decidedly effeminate.

The deplorable “Brutals” live in the “Outlands” while the hippie-ish “Eternals” control them through hireling Brutals who are provided guns by the Eternals and dubbed “Exterminators,” which would be the liberal utopia’s police or military. Of course, only the Brutals are allowed guns, not the common people; and the Eternals are sure to keep the population down through the power they hold. I can’t help but think of the Left’s almost religious advocacy of the killing of millions every year through abortion, not to mention the Las Vegas massacre which targeted conservatives with some liberal elites honestly responding with sick comments like "Well, at least it was conservatives/Trump-supporters who died."

No wonder liberal critics panned the film when it came out.

Before you respond with a self-deluded reply, Brux, the proof is in the pudding, i.e. THE FILM ITSELF.

Sure. It's no coincidence that the giant head looks like Karl Marx.
