Cool docu on TCM!

It kinda reminded me of that Robert Evans documentary, The Kid Stays in the Picture. Although as arrogant as Wellman seems, he's not quite as full of himself as Evans.

TCM also aired a doc on William Wyler recently, which I thought was much better--or maybe I just liked the subject (and his films) better.

I set my DVR to record it the other day; I'd seen it before and really liked it. And him.
We don't see the likes of him anymore, what I'd call a "gentleman hellraiser" (Merian C. Cooper was another). I'd have loved to know him; we don't see many men's men anymore. No B.S. I think he was every bit as wonderful as the films he directed.
