100 Greatest Scary Moments

A few years ago on Channel 4 they did a programme on the 100 Scariest Moments. It's quite often shown (or at least WAS) on a lot of their partner channels. Anyway, there were 12 on the list that I whole-heartedly agreed with! They are:
DEAD OF NIGHT
MICHAEL JACKSON'S THRILLER
SHALLOW GRAVE
FATAL ATTRACTION
RESERVOIR DOGS
SUSPIRIA
CANDYMAN
ROSEMARY'S BABY
THE WICKER MAN
HELLRAISER
FRIDAY THE 13TH
A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET

I watched this when it first aired in 2003 and have seen it a few times since(and will continue to do so when I see it on!) I love it. There are some really great ones in there, and some surprising ones.
I did find it strange that they got comedian Jimmy Carr to host it though.

The list is pretty good overall. I would put The Wicker Man scene probably in the top 10 though, it's easily one of the most disturbing scenes I've seen in a movie. Everything about it is just very unsettling and it stays with you.

I found no part of this movie scary or even creepy. The all around scariest, creepiest movie I have ever seen is The Shining. a whole ream of "All Work and No Play Makes Jack a Dull Boy" always sends a chill through my body.

I'm guessing they are refering to the final scene of this movie being scary

But it doesn't make any sense though the way it was set up, the guy didn't even try to escape from the big guy dragging him along sure he was big but the guy wasn't a 5 year old girl so chances of him knocking him out and running away was pretty big.

Sure the others could have caught up with him possibly but just so idiotic that he didn;t even try.

Same with when he was up there and they set the thing on fire, he just sat there begging to God instead of try to kick some branches off and make his escape which also would been a pretty big possibility, especially once the branches were set on fire, but no, just do nothing and prey to God... Moronic

Why don't you wish in one hand, and s#*t in the other. See which one fills up first.

I think you missed the point. Well, you didn't miss it you just didn't put it together. His praying to his god was just as fruitless, moronic, and backwards as the cultists' sacrifice to theirs. You are correct in that his actions made no sense. That, however, is the point.
