That's another part of the film fraught with problems. Not only are the doors sealed because the power goes out (???), they're super air tight and apparently the only source of air (like there are no air ducts into the room), so they all suffocate in short order.
The other cheesy part is: what, all of the Westworld employees were in this one room when the power went out? Because Richard Benjamin runs all over the place down there and finds no more employees.
Because, you know, when the robots start misbehaving, the entire electrical grid for all 3 fantasy world's go apesh!t and ALL robots go on a killing spree and kill ALL guests ... except for the star, of course.
I remember being impressed with this film as a kid in the 70s, but now, just laughed when RB sets the gunslinger on fire and he goes up like a torch -- think of all the problems that could have happened before that with robots that were that flammable!
I certainly don't need to see this film again.
