favorite scene?

you know how they sneak product commercial into movies, well this wasn't done very discreetly, when the guy is talking, there is a huge sign spinning around behind his head. then he walks out of the camera shot and the camera stays on the sign.
i tell you, maybe it was couse of some recent other experiences i had in the same collection i got this in, but i found this movie quite enjoyable actually.

there is a future i can't build,
there is a past i can't fit,
an advice i can't take,
a habit i can't break,
when i thought i couldn't get more hurt,
i get salt in wounds and my face smacked with dirt,
outside,
a diffrent kind of life,
to wich i'm doomed,
i'm through, but i guess they alredy knew,
world, why do you hit me with everything you got,
can't you see i'm alredy out.

my favorite scene, which wasn't a goof or anything, was the plane scene when he turned into a werewolf and he and the president jumped out the plane and he was attacking the prez...of course, if you haven't seen it, it sounds horrid, but if you have, it was funny as hell!!! lol!

reply

yes the plane scene is hysterical. i love the president repeating over and over.."wa shen sheer showdy"!

My favorite part was the voiceover at the end credits, when the President becomes a werewolf.

Something like that sounds like sequel/remake material. :)

I don't have a favorite scene for this dog. The strangest scene was the dwarf doctor's encounter with the werewolf, who licks the tiny man's face. "Are you real? Are you really, really real?"

I think this is a brilliant b-movie, almost worthy of Plan 9 for how bizarre it is. I like the part where Dr. Loveless and Mr. Strickland disappear into the bathroom stall together and then the president doesn't find anything strange about that, but after he sort of follows them in, he's surprised when they're not there, he forgot about the secret entrance to the underground lab that is barely talked about again.

I also laughed hard when the werewolf is just riding around on the roof of the car of his next victim.

My favorite scene is where it says THE END so this sorry sack of SH*T is finally over.

The bowling scene is relatively funny but that's about it really.

Could have done with having a higher body count or at least making it a bit more graphic.

I thought the whole thing was hilarious (see my post entitled as such), but if I have to pin down a favorite, the bowling scene wins.

My favorite "scene" (if you can call it that, because you don't really see anything) is when the President becomes a werewolf in mid-speech during the closing credits. Every time I hear that, I think, "Man, the Garou/Uratha* are not gonna like this..." :D

*And, yes, that's a shout-out to the World of Darkness fans out there. ;)

The version I watched is on Elvira's Movie Macabre DVD so I'm not sure if there are some missing scenes, but despite her occasional jibes and the poor production values there is a clever script and loads of interesting ideas hiding under this heap of trash.

Jack Nicholson's Wolf had a similar theme, about how a ruthless 'alpha male' in the business world would be indistinguishable from a werewolf. Here though I think the director intended the film to be funny and it's shame he didn't have the budget to explore some of the themes which were touched on, like how werewolves would make ideal soldiers (albeit ones that could only go into battle during a full moon).

Anyway...favourite scene? Despite the satire and humour, the scene that stuck with me was when the woman was attacked in the phone booth. At first, she's in a place of relative safety, all she has to do is keep the door shut. But that only leaves a thin pane of glass between her and wolfman, who then knocks the phone booth over and starts reaching up from the bottom...it's all very tense and the sense of danger gets higher and higher...

For those old enough to remember the times in which it was made, all the Watergate jokes brought about some groans. The bowling ball scene is memorable. The scene of attacking the president is just silly as no Secret Service agents react. The president turning into a werewolf during his speech is funny. There should perhaps be a remake featuring a president resembling a certain recent one who has some animal characteristics.
