shareWell the year on the movie is 1973, so it's likely it was shot during 1972. Hunnicutt & Hemmings were together between 1968-1975. I'm sure it was inevitable they used real feelings to act, but I also think that they're both just really good actors, as well.
I never read anything about them having real-life marital problems during the making of the movie, but every couple has their tiffs...it'd be easy to use them to enhance the performance.
