The Mummy's Revenge is available on dvd

I purchased and just received my dvd copy of Paul Naschy's THE MUMMY'S REVENGE (1973) from TrashPalace.com. Let me tell you that I was a little apprehensive. I had seen a VHS copy many years ago and the quality was so grainy and washed out that it was unwatchable. I was relieved that the video clarity, resolution, and sound are fair to good. If you accept, to begin with that this is a dvd copy of an old film and keep that in perspective, then you won't be disappointed.

I'm a strong fan of Paul Naschy's horror cult classic films from 1970 to 1974. That's why I invested the $15 and $5.50 shipping to purchase THE MUMMY'S REVENGE. There was no other place as far as I could detect which carried this movie. I also enjoy horror films set in historical time periods, such as the 17th century Europe, especially central and eastern Europe, and another fave, late 19th century Victorian England. Hammer Films and Paul Naschy's horror flicks fill the description nicely. Just to let you know, THE MUMMY'S REVENGE takes place in the first decade of the 20th Century. Early, primitive telephones are in use in a few places that can afford it. One of the mummy's soon-to-be victims mentions that, "...we're in the twentieth century." But overall you get the sense that it's still the Victorian Period, even though technically the time frame is set in the short, ten-year Edwardian Period.

There's supposed to be an uncensored version of THE MUMMY'S REVENGE but even Paul Naschy couldn't find it in Europe. But it must be out there in some hidden film vault or collection. I have what I believe is the censored version meant for television. In fact that's where I first saw THE MUMMY'S REVENGE, on television when I was a pre-teenager.
