The scene where the wife is climbing the snake-charmer rope, screams & then disappears. I'm under the impression that she saw some kind of demon, maybe?

That WAS a truly frightening scene, and an excellent piece of acting. I thought the blood patch spoiled it a little - having her just disappear into some unimaginable horror is really creepy, seeing the blood patch makes it a little more prosaic, like oh she's just been killed somewhere and she's bleeding. A minor quibble though.
Just watched it for about the 3rd time. For me, it was the PAPER-CUTTER scene. AUGH!

It's always the image of Rogers with a tap in his neck, being sucked dry by vampires that freaks me out. Even though he kinda deserves it.
