..........by Dylan Thomas for friend Richard Burton.......and should have been left as a radio play. This film is full of redundant images notwithstanding its starry cast.
shareI completely agree. The words are captivating and dreamlike, but the imagery is obvious and pointless. I played this with subtitles to appreciate the verse, and after a certain point I zoned out on the visuals because they felt completely superfluous. I guess I'll give this 5/10 stars as a film, though it wastes the talents of all involved.
