No Special Edition?

I was surprised that there isn't a special edition for Last Tango or a lot of Brando films for that matter. Bertolucci and Schneider could do it for this film and Lumet could have done it for The Fugitive Kind. Or they just hire a film historian to do them. Sad.

Agreed. You could include the uncut version and some deleted/alternate scenes (like the dog-barking scene that was cut for general release), plus commentary with surviving cast/crew members and historians/critics (Maltin or Schickel perhaps?), a photo gallery, trivia track, trailers, and all that good stuff.

THERE IS A COLLECTOR'S EDITION/UNRATED/UNCUT VERSION....

I TRULY MISS STEVIE RAY VAUGHAN!

No, there isn't.

i would love to see a special edition of this movie. maybe with some behind the scenes footage or deleted scenes, as well.

i think if they added extra footage, and behind the scenes stuff for the great Brando performances, especially last tango it would sell big time. i really want them to do a special dvd version of this.

i wish they would release a special version for brandos later films. i liked the deleted brando scenes they added in apocalypse now, they were fascinating to see.

there was a special edition dvd for reflections in a golden eye. it was so interesting to see some of the behind the scenes footage of him and liz taylor.

i would like to see something like this for last tango.

reply

yeah i saw the special "reflections in a golden eye" version. it was really cool to see Brando and liz taylor behind the scenes. it would be awesome to see this for some of the other classics.
