I thought this flick was a real trashy hoot. Zalman King's hysterical overacting as a twitchy psycho biker sleazeball was often hilarious to behold; I especially enjoyed Zalman's wheezy maniacal laugh. And that pained grimace he makes every time he kills somebody was absolutely sidesplitting!

I enjoy keeping busy. Satan finds work for idle hands.

I love those biker goggles Zalman had. I want a pair of them.

This movie cries out for a motive. I am a true believer in using my imagination to fill in unexplained elements and plot holes (although The Beast of Yucca Flats (1961) was unforgivable). I always wonder what makes people turn bad.

Trip With the Teacher could have been more interesting if we were to learn what made Al crazy. Frankly, I think he embarked on a road trip with his brother and ran out of his medication. The whole rude business about the gas station attendant (Ed Cross) existed only in Al’s mind. When they were alone at the store to get gum and pay for the gas, Ed Cross treated Al blandly. Also the girls muttering among themselves occurred solely in his mind. Later when he kills the girl by burying her face in the sand, he seems to be going through an inner struggle. It seemed to me that he was disgusted by his own action.

His brother also seemed tense and at the mercy of Al. It would have been neat to have had a scene where he broke down and cried on the shoulder of one of the girls in confidence saying how much he hated Al for all the misery and death he caused... something...

I enjoyed the movie. And yes… the goggles were funky.

Zombism has gotten very retarded now, but yeah this movie and HOTEOTP are awesome flicks.
The menacing bikers in this are really cool too.
