Should have taken it to the next level

I was hoping this would have been a more gritty and violent film. It seemed to suffer trying to go back and forth from a violent/horror film to a 70's skin flick. It failed at both. I wish it would have went into a crazed violent frenzy.. or the students would have left the teacher and had a lovefest with the outlaws.

Never the less, it was a fun watch and nice to have in the collection.

This is true. This was equal parts "Last House on the Left" and "ABC After School Special." Had it gone full-force with the former and ditched the latter, this would have been a gritty classic. Instead, it's just a entertaining misfire. 6/10 as an fairly watchable diversion.

It was made watchable by Zalman King, in my opinion. I agree with both you and the OP, it needed to be stronger than it actually was. It's one of the weaker (but still entertaining) entries in the 70's exploitation flicks.

I'm just a guy that likes horror flicks.

Pretty well sums up my opinion of this movie.
CROWN movies were often misfires, but still quite memorable. I love CROWN movies.

I agree with the OP. I remember seeing this at the drive in and kept expecting Al to lose it and ravage the girls and the teacher a lot more than was shown. He was more of a psychological menace than physical.

Of course I compare everything to the original I Spit On Your Grave (1978). I have yet to see a rape scene that tops that movie. The 2010 remake failed miserably IMO.

You folks are disturbing. You sound like the type of people who would enjoy a snuff film, and one with actual rape. Hate women much?
