Differences in African Films

Hey, I'm about to watc this movie, and I've never really seen an African film before? Are there any extreme differences in style?

It was horrible, just horrible. But driving fast behind the ambulance was fantastic.

Horrible? Well, in a way yes. But that makes it so brilliant!

this is pretty different from a lot of african cinema. It is like a heavily africanized version of Godard and is, as such, absolutely wonderful.

see it! its wonderful.
african cinema is of course very different than western cinema because of the cultural differences and african films are generally made on a VERY small budget. there is an outpouring of really terrible films coming out of nigeria [nollywood] at the moment which arent even availibe to western viewers , but i recommend looking up some films by directors Abderrhamane Sissako and Souleymane Cisse, both malian directors who have made some wonderful films.
