one of my favorites

This film is an epic by all measure and worth viewing a few times to take it all in. Lengthy, at around 159 minutes, several character tales are told entwining one into another throughout the course of the movie. The lead actress remains till the ending, her life full of sorrow and hardship. Really an neglected gem it's up there with the best of Rays films. I think it can be rented at Netflix; check it out you'll be glad you did.
