The Kim Novak story had a poor end - SPOILER

The Kim Novak story was cool but the ending sucked. She apparently was accused of her daughter's murder and put in an asylum, but then if that happened how did she know EXACTLY what happened to the girl when she wasn't there when her murder happened.

The story seemed to be told from the young black guy's point of view, not from Novak's side. If anything, the person in the nuthouse should have been him, or that dodgy butler who cut the girl's body up.

Novak knew nothing about why her daughter died and who actually did it.

reply

I don't think she was ever accused of the murder. She lost her mind over her daughter's disappearance and was put away. The good doctor apparently solved the mystery by establishing that they had been present in the house and then building up a case that they must have murdered the daughter. They would have left soon after and were never apprehended for the crime.

*** Well, that's my story and I'm sticking to it! ***

reply

Yes, but as I said before, the facts were only known by the black guy. Not Kim's character.

And why should she be in a mental asylum for killers when she was clearly innocent.

reply

The doctor had evidently somehow pieced the story together after investigating it thoroughly.

As I said too, Novak's character was probably in the asylum because she had lost her mind, no because she was suspected of any crime.

reply

I'm sorry. Who is "the black guy"?

reply

That is also my question when reading this post. That story didn't have a 'black guy'. In fact, none of them did.

reply

Heck, it didn't even have any Hawaiians or whatever Kimo was supposed to be.

reply

Yes, I thought that story ended too abruptly. It could've had a few more minutes added onto it so it could've had a better ending. But other than that, I think this movie was absolutely perfect.
