Hmmmmmm

I have had this DVD on my shelf for over three years, and only found it again last week. I finally got around to watching it last evening.

It was 'more' than I had originally expected.

MORE interesting, due to the beautiful locations; MORE than adequate with its musical score; and MORE mind-numbingly silly than I had even remotely expected. Especially, since it is 'supposed' to have been based on a true story....

True, the scenes with the scantily-clad, and sometimes naked Eleonora Giorgi were quite TITillating, but I found the lack of depth of characters in the supporting roles to be under par, even for a skin-flick.

Catherine Spaak and Suzy Kendall were underused, and I found most of the Nuns' costumes only served to make them all look the same. (No doubt this is the original intention of the garb, in fact.)

There was an attempt at a 'happy' ending, but on the whole, the entire thing just left me with the feeling that I didn't really care a single iota for whatever happened to any of the film's characters.

Still, this WAS made in 1973, and back then, plots and character development were running second place to tits and bums.

Recommended only if you have nothing better to do on a cold evening.
