You guys are missing the true message of this film which is to take the education that's been used and USE it to do your OWN thing, and don't beg for hand outs. Basically doing the teachings of what Malcolm X said, "Be your own man and have your own business". Its kinda like what black filmmakers need to do-play "the game" in Hollywood for a while by being likeable, then when you have enough money, resources and support, do your own films, have your own studio, distribution, etc. We've been whining for years to have our own studio and we still doesn't have it because we have NO UNITY, like our people did back in 73. It would be unrealistic to do a remake of this because black folks are not together.
