My favorite Thanksgiving Movie.

I know, I know -- I must be nuts to suggest a film about industrialized cannibalism could ever be fare for a pleasant Thanksgiving. But hear me out!

1. There isn't a meal on film that ever looked so enjoyable as the one Sol and Thorn sit down to. For me, it is the very spirit of what a good meal should "feel" like. No scene makes me more thankful for a the good meals I enjoy on a regular basis than that scene. It really is a special thing.

2. Thorn's empathy and awe at the scene of Sol's death should make us all grateful for the beautiful world we still live in. Let yourself feel the wonder that Thorn feels, and appreciate that we can still experience it as a reality. This scene makes me very thankful that we still have most of that world to appreciate, and makes me treasure it -- to feel that it's something worth saving.

Soylent Green really is a great Thanksgiving movie, inspiring gratitude in us all for the beauty and bounty we still have today. I hope some of you will agree with me!
