Make Room, Make Room....

The final plot twist of the 'cannibal crackers' isn't in the book, but for the most part, the movie follows the book. One of the key differences I noticed between the book and the film is the focus the former put on over-population (Catholicism was somewhat savaged), climatic change, disease, and the welfare state leading to scarcity and misery. The movie hit all of those notes but didn't belabor them like book did.
